Welcome to Broadmeadow
Community National School!
Welcome to Broadmeadow Community National School! We open in September 2020 under the patronage of Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Education and Training Board (DDLTB) as a Community National School to serve the families of Swords. The school will initially open with junior infants and within eight years, we will cater for pupils of all primary ages. At the start of our journey we will be housed within Sword Community College, Swords and we are excited to build this partnership from the start for you and your child.
As Principal of Broadmeadow Community National School, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school website. I hope our website will provide useful and current information for both current and prospective students and their families, for our school staff and the wider community. As a school community we are committed to the core values of equality, inclusion, diversity and respect. All beliefs, cultures, traditions and languages are celebrated and shared for all round education and the development of life skills.
Our vision for Broadmeadow Community National School is to create an environment which is calm and safe, in which each member of staff, each student and each member of the community reaches their full potential. Strong links and partnerships between all of these will be the key to ensuring that all children receive the best possible opportunities to develop socially, academically and emotionally. We hope you will be part of our vision too!
Our school motto of ‘Connect, Create, Explore, Enjoy’ fully describes the active and creative approach that we will take in educating the children while also acknowledging the important part parents and community figures play in the creation of meaningful connections and exploration of other people’s perspectives.
We look forward to greeting each of the children, parents and guardians as we begin this new chapter in Swords history.
Miss Jennifer Robinson,
Principal
